TSGMentality

Outstanding success is hardly conceivable without talent and hard work. The third and decisive factor is often overlooked: The right attitude. Especially in the current period without team training, the third factor is particularly important.

When it comes to mental strength, we can learn a lot from professional athletes. Athletes who make it to the top in competitive sports have learned early on to push themselves. This includes setting higher and higher goals, dealing with setbacks in the right way and learning from mistakes in the long term. Successful athletes know how to overcome self-doubt and reflect independently on whether they are on the right track. They have to master three challenges that require special mental strength: each individual competition is unique and cannot be repeated identically, the result is visible immediately afterwards - and all this under the critical observation of coaches, players, media and spectators.

Believe in yourself!

Players who are convinced that they can achieve something on their own are more successful than those who are unmotivated and dissatisfied with the situation or with themselves. Such self-effective players show greater perseverance when it comes to accomplishing tasks on their own. They try harder and find creative and good solutions more easily. At the same time, they seek higher challenges in order to grow and achieve the optimum. Exactly these qualities are very important for players with ambitions, only through perseverance and constant willingness to learn can one make the leap into the professional field and achieve success in the long term.

The image you have of yourself is crucial

People who believe that abilities are exclusively innate and hardly changeable have less success. They give up more quickly and don't even take on challenges because they are afraid of failure. People with a "dynamic" self-image are quite different: they are deeply convinced that they can achieve anything in life if only they make the right effort. Such a self-image knows no fear of failure or panic about making mistakes.

What is important for a talented and well-trained athlete at the decisive moment: the right attitude! The real game takes place less on the playing field than in one's own head. Mental strength beats mere talent!
